Bryan Hearn, M.A.T., Ed.D. | Founder & CEO

Bryan founded Bridges to Readiness in 2022 to help students reach their goals, realize their potential, and gain self-confidence through accelerating their learning and expanding their options after high school.

With over 15 years of experience, with accolades including Level 5 Teacher multiple years, increasing school-wide ACT scores by 4+ composite points, and increasing AP pass rate by 27%+,

As a teacher, the State of Tennessee named Bryan a Level 5 ("Most Effective") teacher for all years he taught.

In Bryan's first year in instructional leadership, his school posted an ACT average increase of 4+ composite points, and he worked to increase the AP pass rate 27%+ while increasing access to AP coursework from 20 exams to 104 exams taken (a 5x increase).

Bryan believes deeply in students having multiple postsecondary options after high school.

Carly Brenner, M.Ed., Managing Director of Partnerships and Engagement

Carly began teaching secondary English in 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee. Throughout her tenure, she was awarded high ranks for her teaching effectiveness and also a fellowship from the Tennessee State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE) where she advocated for student access to high-quality assessments and postsecondary options.
She is devoted to ensuring students have access to high-quality, complex texts that will build knowledge and vocabulary essential to success in any postsecondary pathway they may choose. Carly is excited about working with Bridges to Readiness to support students in achieving their academic goals on the ACT/SAT.

Joshua Jordan, Managing Director of College Counseling and Student Experience

Joshua has been passionate about education since he was five years old, when he “helped” his mother teach preschool students. Since then, Joshua’s interest in education merged with his dedication to justice-oriented practices as he gained leadership experience while managing a youth empowerment program and later taught special education in biology & anatomy. As a team member at Bridges to Readiness, Joshua is most excited to connect with students as they explore postsecondary options that are aligned with their personal & professional goals. Joshua received a B.A. in Government & Education from Cornell University before earning a M.A. in Education Policy from Stanford University.

Elizabeth Tish, Operations Manager

Elizabeth has been passionate about postsecondary access ever since she participated in the Elon Academy college access program in high school. Through that experience she realized that access to higher education in the United States is inequitable and wanted to change that. Elizabeth received her B.A. in Public Policy with a minor in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.A. in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from Stanford’s Graduate School of Education. Elizabeth has worked in afterschool policy, youth workforce, and human resources. Elizabeth is excited to be helping Bridges to Readiness set up its operational structures.
